Welcome

Welcome to Dreaming of the Tide!

Let me begin by introducing myself and why I decided to start a blog in the first place.

My name is Kara and I am your typical 22-year-old college student just stumbling my way through this crazy thing we call life. My goal for this blog is to connect with my readers by opening up about not only my hopes and dreams, but by sharing with you guys what makes my heart happy.

Aside from “life lessons”, I will also be touching base on all things Romeo (my beloved canine companion), my favorite quotes & my personal insights on the matter, and basically anything related to the things that mean the most to me.

Finally, here is a little bit about myself:

I would like to think of myself as a “free spirit”, meaning I generally go with the flow. I try my best to keep an optimistic outlook while maintaining a realistic point of view as well. In my opinion, life is way too short to dwell on the little things that we potentially have no control of in the first place. Sometimes we just have to let go and let fate take its natural course.

As the saying goes, “If it’s meant to be, it will be.”

I absolutely love everything about the ocean. The waves crashing on the shore is one of my favorite sounds, hands down. Something about it feels so serene, so calm.

Speaking of… One of my life goals is to move to either California or Hawaii and learn how to surf like the big dogs (Coco Ho, Carissa Moore, and Kelly Slater for example). Something about being able to ride the waves on a surfboard is just mind-blowing to me! It’s amazing.

A few more things I am passionate about include animals, cooking & baking, traveling, and I would love to get into photography. Not professionally, but for my own personal pleasure. In future posts, I will share my love for animals and how I came across adopting my big baby <3.

I am thrilled to take on this next adventure. I have wanted to start a blog for years, I just never got around to it. Better late than never, right? I look forward to what’s to come!

Let’s get started!
